Buying at Auction
Before Auction Day
Inspect the property, review the contract with your solicitor, organise your finance approval and complete any building and pest inspections before auction day. When the hammer falls, the sale is unconditional — there is no cooling-off period for auction purchases in NSW.
On the Day
Arrive early and register to bid — you'll need photo ID. Set your limit before the auction starts and bid with confidence. If the property passes in, the highest bidder typically has the first opportunity to negotiate.
If You're the Buyer
You'll sign the contract and pay the deposit (usually 10%) on the day. Our team will walk you through every step — ask us anything before auction day, because afterwards is too late to change the terms.
